FAQs: Book Recommendations?

I am frequently asked what books I can recommend for people waiting for book 3 to come out. My answer to this question is always “well, it depends on what you like or what you’re looking for!” which isn’t terribly helpful, so I’m going to do my best with this list.

In order to not get overwhelmed by possibilities, I have restricted this list to 1. books that I have read in the past year or so, 2. books that have come out fairly recently, and 3. books that came to mind first. It is by no means intended to include all the books I have read and liked, or all the books that are good and worth reading within these categories. It’s just sort of off the cuff.
